Enjoying Nature Continues in NC Outdoors(coast & sandhills)

Posted on July 16th, 2008 by Admin

Fishing in Pamlico Sound continues to produce a variety of catches. The shallows are good areas for puppy drum, speckled trout and flounder(shrimp being the bait of choice). Some hardcore fisherman are just starting to haul in some tarpon and big drum using: large cut baits, live baits, popping corks and Gulp. Oregon Inlet is also yielding good varitey. Spanish mackeral, bluefish, triggerfish and black sea bass are the hungriest right now.
